Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to ensure the participation of the petitioner and other members of the schedule caste community in the Vinayagar Chaturthi Festival scheduled to be celebrated on 05.09.2016 in Thiruvudaiyarpatti Village, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District and to consequently take action on the organizers and other persons indulging in social boycott and other atrocities against the Petitioner and other members of the schedule caste community as per the provisions of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and the Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2016. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to ensure the participation of the petitioner and other members of the schedule caste community in the Vinayagar Chaturthi Festival, scheduled to be celebrated on 05.09.2016 in Thiruvudaiyarpatti Village, Thiruppathur Taluk,Sivagangai https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

District and to consequently take action on the organizers and other persons indulging in social boycott and other atrocities against the petitioner and other members of the schedule caste community.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, on instructions, would submit that the permission sought for by the petitioner to conduct Vinayagar Chathurthi Festival has been refused.

5.As the permission sought for by the petitioner to conduct Vinayagar Chathurthi Festival has already been refused, question of participation in Vinayagar Chathurthi Festival does not arise.

6.This Writ Petition is closed with the above observation. Consequently, connected WMP(MD)No.12015 of 2016 is also closed.
