Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the Respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents to consider his representations, dated 11.05.2015 and 16.10.2015, on merits by dropping the proposal of acquisition of land at S.No.25/1 situated at Appuvilai Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District.

3. It is seen that the petitioner's land is sought to be acquired under the National Highways Act and for that purpose, a notice was issued to the petitioner on 04.05.2015 calling upon the petitioner to show-cause as to why his land should not be acquired for the formation of Highway.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he sent his objection on 11.05.2015 followed by another objection on 16.10.2015, the second respondent has not passed any order so far.

5. Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, submitted that the petitioner's objections are yet to be considered and orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law.

6. Considering the rival submissions made by the respective parties, I only direct the second respondent to consider the objections raised by the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court is not expressing any view on the merits of the objections made by the petitioner against the proposed acquisition proceedings.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
