PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.198 of 2026 on the file of the Respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 332(C) and 75(2) of BNS in Crime No.198 of 2026, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 24.05.2026, at about 03.15 a.m., while the defacto complainant and her family members were sleeping, the petitioner trespassed into the house of the defacto complainant and touched the legs of the defacto complainant. Since the defacto complainant shouted, the petitioner ran away. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4. The learned counsel for state of TN (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner has trespassed into the 2/4

defacto complainant's house at 03.15 a.m., touched her legs and thereby, attempted to sexually assault her.

5.Considering the nature and seriousness of the offence alleged, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
