ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to provide an electricity connection to the petitioner's house situated in S.No.832 to an extent of 0.03 Ares at Mugavanur South Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 26.06.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel on both sides and carefully perused the entire materials available on record.

3. When the matter came up for hearing, Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent would submit that they have not obtained No Objection Certificate from the second respondent and hence, they are not able to consider the representation of the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the said land is a poramboke land. 2/5

5. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's house is assessed by the Panchayat concerned and he is paying the Tax from the year 2002.

6. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to give No Objection Certificate to the petitioner forthwith. On receipt of the No Objection Certificate from the second respondent, the petitioner shall submit the same before the third respondent. Thereafter, the third respondent shall consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 26.06.2024 and to provide the electricity connection to the petitioner's house within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the No Objection Certificate.

7. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
