O R D E R

The petitioner/accused in Crime No.286 of 2024, on the file of Kannivadi Police Station has filed this Criminal Original Petition to quash the proceedings in Crime No.286 of 2024, which was registered for the offence under Section 194(1) of BNSS. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the defacto complainant's husband died due to electrocution, which was occurred in the petitioner's land. According to the learned counsel, the petitioner has leased out the said land to one Sakthivel and he has put up an electric fencing in the petitioner's land, however, the petitioner has been added as an accused in Crime No.286 of 2024. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner is a Teacher by profession and in view of the criminal case, her further career opportunities may be affected. 3.Mr.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), who takes notice for the first respondent strongly objects for quashing the proceedings in Crime No.286 of 2024 that the petitioner is the owner of the property, wherein, the incident had taken place. 2/5

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondent.

5.Though the petitioner has raised several grounds, this Court is of the opinion that it can be appreciated only during the trial. The case in Crime No.286 of 2024 has been registered on 01.12.2024. The investigation agency shall find out the truth, by considering the submissions made by this petitioner during the course of investigation and file the final report. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the final report, in the manner known to law.

6. With such liberty, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 20.06.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet:Yes vrn 3/5
