This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct the Vinayagar Chathurthi festival and idol procession from 05.09.2016 to 07.09.2016 at Muthu Krishnan Asari Theru, Usilampatti Madurai District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2016. 2.Mr.R.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents undertakes to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.08.2016 within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the undertaking given by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 05.09.2016.
