This petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondent herein to provide adequate police protection on 06.09.2016 from 4 p.m on wards more particularly during the procession which is being started from Mayalan Street Thevar Silai carrying the Idol of Lord Vinayagar till Anaipalam tank bund for immersion of the Idol on the basis of petitioner representation dated 27.8.2016.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the relief sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous, as the function, for which Police protection was sought was over on 06.09.2016 itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. In view of the above submission, this petition is closed as having become infructuous. No costs.
