Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely "Innisai Katcheri" dance program scheduled to be held on 13.01.2017 at night in connection with "Kodai Vizha" in Arulmigu Sri Senai Vinayagar Kovil at Vasavanallur Village, Tirunelveli District by consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.V.Ramalingam For Respondents : Mr.M.Govindan, Special Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give necessary permission for performing Innisai Katcheri in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 09.01.2017 a representation has been given to the respondents. But the same has not been considered.

4.Considering the fact that already a representation has been given on 09.01.2017, the following direction can be issued. 5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Vasavanallur Police Station is directed to look into the representation dated 09.01.2017 and dispose of the same immediately.
