This petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to take action against the respondents 5 to 10 for ex-communicating the Petitioner and his family from their community and consequently directing the Respondents 1 to 4 to protect the right of the Petitioner and his family to participate and perform trance dance etc. in the festival of Sevugaperumal Swamy Temple of Kunnarampatti Village Melur Taluk Madurai District on 02.09.2016 and other subsequent days.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the relief sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous, as the festival, for which Police protection was sought was over on 02.09.2016 itself.
3. In view of the above submission, this petition is closed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
