ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to direct the second respondent to give adequate protection to the life and limb of the petitioner's husband by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.11.2020, within a time frame.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the private respondents herein collected huge amount from the village people under BIT coin business and cheated. Therefore, criminal case was registered and the private respondents were arrested and subsequently released on bail. While that being so, the private respondents herein kidnapped the petitioner's husband on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.13212 of 2020 07.10.2020 and demanded a sum of Rs.6,00,000/-. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint and the same was registered in crime No.1194 of 2020 for the offence under Section 365 IPC. On 09.10.2020, the husband of the petitioner was found with lot of bleeding injuries near grave yard. Hence, the petitioner filed this criminal original petition seeking for grant of police protection to her and her husband.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and second respondents circulated the status report of the second respondent. It is stated in the status report that based on the complaint given by the petitioner herein, a case in crime No.1194 of 2020 for the offence under Section 365 was registered. It is further stated that the second respondent police, after due investigation, altered the offence under Section 365 IPC into Sections 365, 109, 120(b), 147, 342, 323 and 506(i) IPC.

4.Recording the above statements, this criminal original petition is closed.
