Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to provide water tap connection to the house of the petitioner bearing Door No.4/19 located in Madiyanoor Village of Avudaiyanoor Panchayat, Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli District.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to provide water tap connection to the house of the petitioner bearing Door No.4/19, Madiyanoor Village of Avudaiyanoor Panchayat, Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2.Heard both sides.

3.The case of the petitioner is that in order to get water tap connection for her house bearing Door No.4/19, Madiyanoor Village of Avudaiyanoor Panchayat, Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli District, she paid necessary charges to the third respondent panchayat and waited from the year 2009. Since, water tap connection was not given, she made a representation dated 20.06.2016, to the first respondent and the same was also unattended so far.

4.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the second respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner, if she otherwise satisfies the Rules and to take immediate action, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
