Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to give permission and police protection to the "Adalum Padalum" cultural program on 15.04.2017 at 07.00 pm to 11.00 pm in temple festival of "Arulmigu Sri Santhana Mariyamman Thirukovil Pongal Uthsava Thiruviza" at Mandapasalli Village, Aruppukottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Selvakumar For Respondent : Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent. 3.It is seen from the records that on 17.03.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 17.03.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
