Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to forthwith take appropriate steps to allow all the vehicle movements in the 4 car streets of Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple situated at Rameswaram, Ramanathapuram District for the welfare of aged pilgrims. ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to permit vehicles in four car streets of Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple, Rameswaram, Ramanathapuram District, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.
2.It is seen from the records that on 04.01.2017, a representation has been given on the side of the petitioner, but the same has not been considered.
3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has represented that already a representation has been given and the sixth respondent viz., Superintendent of Police, Ramanathapuram District has rejected the same. 4.Considering the fact that a representation has been given on 04.01.2017 and the same has not been considered, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.
5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the sixth respondent viz., Superintendent of Police, Ramanathapuram District is directed to look into the representation dated 04.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of one week.
