There is no representation on the side of the eighth respondent, who also claims to be the wife of the deceased employee, once again.

2. On the last hearing date i.e., on 06.08.2024, this Court, in order to enable the eighth respondent to appear before this Court, had adjourned the matter today. It was informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner on the last hearing date i.e., on 06.08.2024 that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, family pension is being paid to the petitioner, who is the legally wedded wife of the deceased employee. The same was also confirmed by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents. The submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents is accepted by this Court.

3. In view of the fact that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has been achieved subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition and this writ petition is disposed of after recording the statement of the learned Government Advocate

appearing for the official respondents, on instructions, that the petitioner is now receiving the family pension subsequent to the filing of this writ petition. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 08.08.2024 NCC :
