This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection to the Vinayagar Chathurthi festival on 05.09.2016 at Sri Vinayagar Temple, Duraisamypuram Pudur, Thimmanatham Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2016. 2.Mr.R.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents undertakes to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.08.2016 within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.
