The petitioner/the Defacto complainant in Crime No.12 of 2016 has approached this Court, seeking a direction to the respondents to file a final report in the above crime number within a stipulated time. 1/4

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the respondent police has not conducted the investigation in a criminal case, which was registered in the year 2016. 3.Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submits that the final report has been filed in the year 2019 itself before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Virudhunagar and the same was taken on file in CC No. 44 of 2019. He further submits that the case is posted on 31.07.2024 for examination of LW 1 to LW 5.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Considering the fact that the case is of the year 2019, the trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible. 12.07.2024 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No vrn 2/4
