Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd Respondents to dispose of the petitioner's Applications dated 31.12.2013, 18.05.2015 and 03.11.2015 to upgrade P.S.K.S.Matriculation School at Door No.1-38 & 1-38-A, Attoor Town Panchayat, Moovatumugam and Post, Kanyakumari District to Middle School Level.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he had submitted an application on 18.05.2015 to the first respondent seeking for upgradation of his School to the status of Middle School. Since the said application was not considered in time, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. In view of the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition and without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 18.05.2015, on its own merits and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
