This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondents to permit him to participate in the training and subsequently, appoint him as Grade-II Police Constable / Grade -II Jail Warden and Fireman, on the basis of his representation, dated 16.07.2019.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents produced a copy of the order passed by the Director of Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services, Chennai, dated 25.07.2019, wherein it has been stated that the petitioner was convicted u/s. 75 of the Tamil Nadu City Police Act and therefore, his request was rejected.

3. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed. It is open to the petitioner to challenge the aforesaid order, if he is so advised. No costs.
