This petition has been filed, seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to give permission and police protection to the festival to be held between 04.09.2016 to 10.09.2016 at Kammatchi Amma, Periyakkal, Periyannasamy, Moovarayan Karupu, Madurai Veeran, Theepanjal, Murugan, Andavar, Elanthadi Karupu, Mahamuni, Theerthavari Kovil situated at Moovarayam Palayam Keelur, Thirupanchalli Post, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that seeking police protection, the petitioner has sent a representation to conduct a festival in the petitioner's village, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

but, however, the same was not considered by the respondents so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2016 will be considered and suitable orders will be passed thereon.

5. Once a representation has been received by the respondents, it is their bounden duty to decide on the same. Therefore, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, on or before, 04.09.2016. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
