(Crime No.20 of 2018) ... 1st Respondent/Complainant 2.Vanitha ... 2nd Respondent/Defacto Complainant PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to issue a direction directing the Respondent to file a final report in Crime No.20 of 2018, dated 08/10/2018, on the file of the Respondent No. 1, for offences U/s. 294(b), 498 (A) of IPC and 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

COMMON ORDER These petitions have been filed seeking direction to the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Melur, Madurai District, to expedite the investigation in Crime Nos.1220 of 2017 and 20 of 2018 on his file.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that already a direction has been issued to complete the investigation process in the above said crime numbers, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order that has been passed in Crl.O.P.(MD).Nos.5184 and 5185 of 2019, which have been filed by one Meyyan, Navaneetha Krishnan and Vel Mani, who are the accused Nos.2 to 4 in both the petitions, to quash the above said crime numbers. These petitions came to be filed by the first accused in both the cases. This Court by the common order by dismissing the petitions directed the Investigating Officer to complete the investigation within a period of two months, that order has not been complied. 3.Since already direction has been issued by this Court, second direction in respect of the same crime numbers is not possible. The first respondent is directed to comply the above said directions passed by this Court vide order dated 08.04.2019 in Crl.O.P.(MD). No.5184 & 5185 of 2019 forthwith and compliance report must be placed before this Court on 03.12.2021.

4.These Criminal original Petitions are disposed of with the above directions.
