ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.11.2020 and correct and amend the 1/3

revenue records relating to the property in respect of S.F.No.291/2A1 (Old S.F.No.291/2) situate in Ward No.E, Block No.11, T.S.No.2 to reflect the same to contain an extent of 35 cents in the survey sketch relating to the property situate at Thuraiyur Town in 2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.P.Krishnadoss, learned Special Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's property in S.F.No.291/2 situate at Thuraiyur was purchased jointly by the petitioner's husband and his brother one K.Ganesaraja on 30.11.2006 from one Muthulakshmi and others. Thereafter, the said K.Ganesaraja executed a release deed on 05.03.

2012 to the petitioner's husband who in turn executed a gift settlement deed in favour of the petitioner on 26.07.2013. Thereafter, the said property has been sub-divided as S.F.No.291/2A1 and a patta was issued in the name of the petitioner and the extent of the land reflects as 28 cents instead of 35 cents in revenue sketch. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation on 07.11.2020 seeking necessary amendment in the revenue sketch. 4.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the representation of the petitioner dated 07.11.2020 is disposed of by the third respondent at the earliest.

In view of the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to consider the representation dated 07.11.2020, submitted by the petitioner and after hearing necessary parties, pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law within a period of 120 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment to do so.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
