ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to instruct respondent Nos. 2 to 12 to take preventive measures to ensure that cattle, particularly cows, do not stray onto public roads, thereby preventing accidents. The petitioner also seeks implementation of the circular issued by the first respondent in Sae.Vae.No. 44 dated 21.09.2023 and consideration of the petitioner's representation dated 04.05.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the respondents filed a report indicating that necessary action has been taken to prevent cattle from straying onto the roads. The learned counsel appearing for the State submitted that the Panchayats and the Block Development Officers have taken appropriate steps in this regard. It is further submitted that wide publicity has been given regarding the action that would be taken against persons who allow their cattle to roam on the main roads. 4/8
3.We are satisfied with the report filed by the respondents. The respondents are directed to continue implementing the aforesaid measures in future as well, without any lapse.
4.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
