This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Secretary to Government, Co-operative, Food and Consumer Protection Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 14.02.2017 regarding sanction of the last increment which fell due on 01.10.2010 as per the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
provisions contained under 26(a) Appendix (ix) in FR and as per the dictum of the Hon'ble Supreme Court and High Courts in number of cases within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. Mr.V.Pandi, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is sought by the petitioner in the present Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following order:- "The first respondent, namely, The Secretary to Government, Co-operative, Food and Consumer Protection Department, Chennai, is directed to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
