Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to accord permission and police protection for installation and worship of Vinayagar Idol at M.Puthupatti Village, Mannadimangalam (Post), Vadipatti (Taluk), Madurai District from 05.09.2016 to 07.09.2016 and consequently to give permission and police protection for procession of Vinayagar Idol and to immerse the Vinayagar Statute on 07.09.2016 into Vaigai river.

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to accord permission and police protection for installation and worship of Vinayagar Idol at M.Puthupatti Village, Mannadimangalam (Post), Vadipatti (Taluk), Madurai District from 05.09.2016 to 07.09.2016 and consequently to give permission and police protection for procession of Vinayagar Idol and to immerse the Vinayagar Statute on 07.09.2016 into Vaigai river.
2.Mr.R.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent, would submit that the permission sought for has been rejected on the ground that already seven cases have been registered in the said area and it is highly sensitive place.
5. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that these cases have been registered not relating to the celebrations and therefore, the respondent may be directed to grant permission.
6. Under such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant the direction as prayed for. However, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation to the respondent. On such representation being made, the respondent is directed to consider the said representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before, 05.09.2016. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
