This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to accord permission and police protection for installation and worship of Vinayagar Idol at Nariyampatti, Usilampatti (Taluk), Madurai District from 05.09.2016 to 07.09.2016 and consequently to give permission and police protection for procession of Vinayagar Idol and to immerse the Vinayagar Statute on 07.09.2016 in to Vaigai River. 2.Mr.R.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
