This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents herein to grant permission and give police protection to conduct Vinayagar Chathurthi festival relating to the aforesaid poojas from 05.09.2016 to 07.09.2016 situated in Servai Maithanam, Beema Nagar, Trichy - 1 on considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.08.2016 and 25.08.2016. 2.Mr.R.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents undertakes to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.08.2016 within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the undertaking given by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 04.09.2016.
