ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 15.06.2016.

The petitioner claims to be the owner of the house property No.18, Web Chruch Street, Iyarline at Madurai. Since 1998 onwards, he has been paying the property tax. While so, the respondent has served upon a notice on the petitioner directing him to pay a sum of Rs.11,587/- towards violation of construction put up by the petitioner and increased the house tax from 2008 to 2016.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that before increasing the house tax the petitioner was not put on notice to put forth his case.

5. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.06.2016 on
merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not touched upon the merits of the matter. In other words, the respondent shall pass appropriate orders on the basis of the materials placed by the petitioner before the respondent, after giving sufficient opportunity to him.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
