The Petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to 1/5
conclude the enquiry initiated in Na.Ka.No.2983/24/A3, dated 19.12.2024 based on the his representation, dated 12.11.2024 .
2.Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.It is the case of the Petitioner that 29 cents out of 1.39 acres in Sengapadai Bit-I Village, Kallikudi Taluk, Madurai District was purchased by the Petitioner's father Pothiraj @ Duraisamy. After his death,the Petitioner and his siblings have been in possession and enjoyment of the said property. The Petitioner submitted a representation on 12.11.2024 seeking issuance of patta in the name of the Petitioner and his siblings in respect of the subject property. Pursuant to the said representation, the respondent initiated proceedings in Na.Ka.No.2983/24/A3, dated 19.12.2024 and the same has not been concluded till date. Hence the present Writ Petition is filed by the Petitioner for the relief stated supra. 4.Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondent would submit that the proceedings initiated by the respondent will be concluded and final orders will be passed within the time frame fixed by this 2/5
Court.
5.In view of the same, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to conclude the enquiry initiated by him in Na.Ka.No.2983/24/A3, dated 19.12.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits after issuing notice to the Petitioner, and other interested parties, if any, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
