O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction directing the respondents to give police protection for participate the petitioner and worship the God in Maha Kumbabishekam dated 04.09.2016 in Arulmigu Sree Muthumariamman Kovil at Vellalaviduthi Village, Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering his representation dated 21.08.2016.
2.The learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the above said temple is an ancient temple and the petitioner was one of the member in the festival committee of the Temple. It is further submitted that due to some misunderstanding between the petitioner and the villagers and also with the temple festival committee members, the members of the committee stated that if the petitioner entered into the temple, they will attack with rowdy elements; that a representation was given to the respondents, but, however, the same was not considered by the respondents so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition. 5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
respondents, on instructions, gave an undertaking that the respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law.
6.In view of the above undertaking given by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and as per law on or before 03.09.2016.
7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
