Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second and third respondents ie., the Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai Division, Madurai and the Tahsildar, Vadipatti Taluk to send the details called for by the Accountant General, Chennai in his letter No.GPF15/3/VI-PCA/99010-GA/2016-17, dated 14.07.2016, regarding the amount paid to the petitioner in the first installment and the non-drawal certificate relating to payment of second installment of VIth pay Commission Arrears to the petitioner are to be sent to the Accountant General, Chennai within a specified time frame, that may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the second and third respondents to send details to the first respondent, regarding the amount paid to the petitioner in the first installment and the non-drawal certificate relating to payment of second instalment of 6th Pay Commission arrears to the petitioner, within a specified time frame, that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the second instalment of 6th Pay Commission arrears was not paid to the petitioner. Therefore, he made a representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai Division, Madurai / the second https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD).No.16505 of 2020 respondent, on 18.05.2019, to instruct the Tahsildar, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai / the third respondent to furnish the 6th Pay Commission credits to the Accountant General and arrange to disburse the second instalment of 6th Pay Commission arrears of Rs.20,676/- without further loss of time. However, the respondents 2 and 3 have not furnished the particulars regarding the 6th Pay Commission credits to the Accountant General and having no other option, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by filing this writ petition.

Mr.K.P.Narayanakumar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that appropriate direction may be issued to the second respondent to instruct the third respondent to furnish the 6th Pay Commission credits to the Accountant General / the first respondent herein.

4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court directs the second respondent to instruct the third respondent to furnish the 6th Pay Commission credits to the first respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
