ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to allot a house to the petitioner under Green House Scheme in terms of G.O(Ms)No.122, Housing and Urban Development (SC2(1)) Department, dated 01.10.2015, on the basis of his representation dated 01.04.2016.
2.Heard both sides.
3.The petitioner and his brother are residing in their ancestral property admeasuring 41⁄2 cents, which situates in Survey No.250/8C, Keeramangalam Village and Post, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District. Since, he belongs to economically weaker section, he made a representation dated 01.10.2015 to the respondents 2 to 4, seeking allotment of a house under Green House Scheme in terms of G.O(Ms)No.122, Housing and Urban Development [SC2 (1)] Department, dated 01.10.2015, which is still unattended so far. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice, if the representation of the petitioner dated 01.04.2016, is disposed of by the respondent concerned as per law. 5.
Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondent concerned to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.04.2016, and pass appropriate orders on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
