ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for issuing direction to the Judicial Magistrate, Kodaikanal to dispose S.T.C.No. 645 of 2021, which was registered under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, within the time stipulated time by this Court, 1/4

2.Even though the case is of the year 2022, in view of the direction issued by the Honourable Supreme Court in the case of M/s.Meters and Instruments Private Limited Vs. Kanchan Mehta reported in (2018) 1 SCC 560, the cases arises out of Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments should be disposed of within a period of six months. 3.Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the trial Court viz, the Judicial Magistrate, Kodaikanal, to expedite the trial process in S.T.C.No.645 of 2021, which is pending on his file, and dispose of the same within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
