O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to grant 10 days emergency leave under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 to the petitioner's father M.Muthu (aged about 42 years) S/o.Muniasami, C.P.No.15609, a Life Convict presently confined in Cuddalore Central Prison.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that his father Muthu is a life Convict (C.P.No.15609) and is presently undergoing life sentence in Central Prison, Cuddalore. Muthu's father, Muniasami is suffering from serious ailments, for which, a representation has been given to the authorities for emergency leave under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 and the same is under consideration.

4. Recording the same, the respondent police are directed to consider the representation and pass orders in accordance with the

Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(A.S) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To 1.
