This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent to conduct peace committee meeting in respect of selection of Nattu Ambalam by granting "Ambala Pattam" Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukottai District consequently directing the respondents 1 and 3 to grant police protection to the petitioner and his villagers by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. Today, Mr.Muthu, Special Sub Inspector of Police, is present before this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that as requested in this writ petition, a peace committee meeting was conducted by the Tahsildar, Thirumayam on 06.04.2017, but the same has failed. A copy of the proceeding of the Tahsildar has been submitted before this Court.
