: Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pass an appropriate order as they deem fit as an outcome of the enquiry proceedings initiated by the first respondent in Na.N.935/A4/2016 dated 24.03.2016 and communicate the same to the petitioner within a stipulated date. The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition challenging the order passed by the second respondent / the District Registrar, Palayamkottai, to cancel the sale deed executed by one Tamil Selvi, W/o. Arunachalam.
2. According to the petitioner, his mother viz., Palaniammal is absolute owner of the property in S.No.1437/14 at Kovilpatti. Subsequently, one Arunachalam and his wife Tamil Selvi created a forged power of attorney and based on that, sold the property to a third party. In order to cancel the sale deed, an application was filed by the petitioner on behalf of his mother, which is pending, and no action has been taken in the application, so he filed the present Writ Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. The learned counsel for the respondent submitted that already enquiry was commenced and the documents have been sent to
the Forensic Department for the comparison of thump impression and on receiving the opinion from the Forensic Department, the second respondent will complete the enquiry and pass orders.
4. In view of the above said submission, the second respondent is directed to complete the enquiry, after receipt of the report of the Forensic Department, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of report from the Forensic Department. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
