Respondents Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to issue patta to the petitioner and the petitioner's sons - legal heirs of Paramasivam for the land in Survey No.7/2C of Puthiyamputhur Village, Ottapitaram taluk, Thoothukudi District on the strength of sale deed standing in the name of Paramasivam and connected revenue records and based on the petitioner's representation to the 3rd respondent on 03.08.2021.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The third respondent is directed to enquire into the petition mentioned representation and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The third respondent will put the interested persons on notice before passing final order. It is for the third respondent to pass orders one way or the other. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.
