ORDER

The petitioners with an allegation that the first respondent police is harassing them under the guise of an enquiry have approached this Court.

2.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent submits that the wife of the first petitioner has lodged a complaint for dowry harassment and the same was forwarded to the Social Welfare Officer and they would take further course of action depending upon the report of the Social Welfare Officer. 3.Considering the above submissions, this Court directs the petitioners to appear before the Social Welfare Officer and also before the respondent Police and to cooperate for the enquiry. The first respondent Police shall take a call on the complaint of the second respondent, based on the Social Welfare Officer's report. However, the first respondent Police is not supposed to harass the petitioners. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is closed. 17.06.2025 gns 2/4
