PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to take action based on the petitioner's complaint, dated 21.11.2023, within the time stipulated by this Court.

The petitioner with a grievance that his complaint, dated 21.11.2023 has not been enquired by the respondent police has filed this writ petition.
2.Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the respondents submits that the complaint of this petitioner was treated as a current paper enquiry in G5/1577/E-4554209/2023, dated 17.05.2023 and the same was closed, as the issue is with regard to the money dispute between the petitioner and the other party, by advising the respective parties to approach the concerned Civil Court. 3.This Court is unable to understand how the complaints of civil in nature are entertained by the police officials and dealt with as current paper enquiries and also those complaints were closed by them, without registering any case either as FIR(if cognizable offence is made out) or as a preliminary enquiry in CSR. Be that as it 2/4
may, the respondent police is directed to furnish a copy of the closure report to the petitioner, to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
