Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court directing the respondent to provide ENHANCED COMPENSATION for the acquisition of petitioners land admeasuring 8440 sq.mtr. situate in karaikudi-Ramanathapuram National Highway - Thennervayal village - Survey No.31/1, 31/3A1A, 31/4C2 of Sivagangai district, by following the provisions of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and at par with the similarly placed persons in Kannankottai Village and as per Order in WP(MD) No.21735 of 2017 dt 25/01/2018 by considering petitioners representation dated 28/12/2019 For Petitioner : Mr.A.Haja Mohideen For Respondent : Mr.K.P.Krishnadass Special Government Pleader

ORDER

When the contempt is taken up for hearing, Mr.K.P.Krishnadass, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, has produced the proceedings copy of the order passed by the District Collector, Sivagangai District in Na.Ka.No.C1/15940/2019 dated 08.03.2021, rejecting the claim of the petitioner.

2. In fact the direction issued by this Court in W.P(MD) No.4558 of 2020 has been complied with, though negativing the claim of the writ petitioner.

3. In view of the same, the contempt petition cannot be kept pending and therefore the same is closed. It is however, open to the writ petitioner to assail the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.C1/15940/2019 of the District Collector, Sivagangai District, dated 08.03.2021, in the manner known to law, if so advised.
