This petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the programme to conduct Vinayagar Idol procession in the eve of "Vinayagar's Chathurthi Thiru Vizha" in Kuditheru, Therku Thathamangalam, Mannachanallour Taluk, Trichy District, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 01.09.2016.
2. Mr.K.P.Krishnadoss, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the Vinayagar Chathurthi festival is being conducted by the villagers regularly in order to promote harmony among public; that a representation was given to the respondents, but, however, the same was not considered by the respondents so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.
4.1. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would further submit that as the Vinayagar Chathurthi festival is conducted in a peaceful manner by the villagers, there will be no untoward incident on account of this festival.
5. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 01.09.2016 will be considered and suitable orders will be passed thereon.
6. Once a representation has been received by the respondents, it is their bounden duty to decide on the same in one way or the other. Therefore, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.09.2016 and pass appropriate orders thereon taking into account the law and order problem and other aspects, prevailing in that area, well before the date of function.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
