This petition has been filed to to direct the second respondent to file the final report in Crime No.246 of 2015 pending on the file of the Perungudi Police Station.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is an accused a case in Crime No.246 of 2015 has been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 467, 468, 471 IPC r/w Section 12 (1)(a) of the Indian Passport Act and Section 14 of the Foreigners Act before the second respondent. But for more than four years, the respondent police has not taken any action on the said complaint. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents.
4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, would submit that the investigation with regard to the case in Crime No.246 of 2015 has been completed and a final report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai and the same is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
pending.
5. The submission made by the learned Government Advocae (Crl.Side) is recorded. Since the investigation in this case has been completed and final report has also been filed before the concerned Magistrate, the prayer as such sought for by the petitioner in this petition cannot be granted at this stage. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
