ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of his appeal dated 28.12.2015 on merits.

According to the petitioner, the second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirunelveli has imposed some penalty for the alleged illeal quarrying. Against the said order passed by the second respondent, the petitioner has filed a statutory appeal before the first respondent/District Collector, Tirunelveli District on 28.12.2015 and the said appeal is pending with the first respondent without any disposal. Hence, seeking a direction to the first respondent, he has come forward with this writ petition.

28.12.2015 is pending before the first respondent/District Collector, Tirunelveli District, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 28.12.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
