ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2026.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had lodged a complaint regarding the snatching of a gold chain, and CSR No. 144 of 2024 was issued in this regard. However, no action was taken by the police. Aggrieved by the same, the present petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that an enquiry had already been conducted, and the matter was subsequently closed.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials before this Court.

5. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent police is directed to reopen the complaint in CSR No. 144 of 2024 and conduct a fresh enquiry after issuing summons to the parties concerned under Section 64 of the BNSS. Upon affording due opportunity of hearing to all 2/4

concerned parties, the enquiry shall be completed and an appropriate decision shall be taken in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
