O R D E R
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the third respondent to disburse the compensation amount payable to the petitioner for the acquisition of his property situate in Survey No.423/1, measuring 0.04.00 hectares, in Ayan Pappakudi Village (Block No.2), South Taluk, Madurai District, by considering his representation dated 19.12.2024.
2. Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, the subject property was purchased by the petitioner's mother Muthulakshmi Ammal on 05.05.1976. She died on 04.01.2014, leaving behind the petitioner as her sole surviving heir. Since the subject property was acquired for expansion of Madurai 2/6
Airport, the petitioner submitted a representation before the third respondent seeking disbursal of the compensation amount payable to him. The said representation has not been considered by the third respondent. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit the original title document in favour of the petitioner's mother was misplaced. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a certified copy of the said document along with non-traceable certificate issued by the police authorities. In spite of the same, the request of the petitioner has not been considered.
5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered on its own merits and final orders will be passed within the time stipulated by this Court.
6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.12.2024 and pass final orders on 3/6
its own merits, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
