Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to lay a road which runs in between Subramaniyapuram Village and Andiyapuram Village as per the resolution passed by the third respondent Village Panchayat dated 27.06.2016 in Resolution No.17/2016-17 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2017. ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to lay road from Subramaniyapuram Village to Andiyapuram Village as per the resolution passed by the Village Panchayat on 27.06.2016 in Resolution No.17/2016-17, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. 2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the first respondent. Considering the nature of the relief sought in the Writ Petition and also considering the fact that already the concerned Village Panchayat has passed a resolution with regard to laying of road in the place mentioned in the petition, notice need not be sent to the remaining respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 23.03.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the first respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 23.03.2017 alleged to have been given by the petitioner and dispose of the same within a period of one month.
