O R D E R

Heard Mr. E. Satheesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr. M. Mahaboob Athiff, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 2.The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to release the petitioner's property by considering his representation dated 09.03.2026. 3.The petitioner was serving as the President of the second respondent Society. During his tenure, surcharge proceedings were initiated against him under Section 81 of the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Societies Act, 1983. Pursuant to the said proceedings, the petitioner was held liable to pay a sum of Rs.44,12,971/- together with interest at the rate of 18% per annum. According to the petitioner, he has discharged the said liability in full. Thereafter, he submitted a representation dated 09.03.2026 to the first respondent seeking release of the original title deeds relating to the property that had been subjected to execution 2/5

proceedings. The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite the lapse of consider able time, no orders have been passed on the said representation.

4.Mr. M. Mahaboob Athiff, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 09.03.2026 would be considered and disposed of by the first respondent on its own merits within such time as may be stipulated by this Court. The said submission is placed on record. 5.In view of the above submission, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 09.03.2026, on its own merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders. 6.The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of four

(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5

7.There shall be no order as to costs.
