O R D E R
This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to cancel the patta No.4428, standing in the name of 8th respondent in respect of the landed property in Survey No.132/1, T.S.Ramalinga Nagar, Aruppukottai Village and to treat the same as public road in terms of the Gift Settlement Deed dated 20.09.1978 under Document No.1403 of 1978 on the file of Sub-Registrar, Aruppukkottai, within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 7, based on written instructions from the third respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.A2/1530/2023, dated 12.08.2025, would submit that steps have been taken to cancel the patta Nos.4037, 4048, 4069, 4080, 4087, 4428, 4108 and 4117 in the name of 8th respondent in respect of the streets covered by settlement deed registered as Document No. 1403 of 1978, dated 20.09.1978.
3. Since the third respondent, in his written instructions to the 3/6
Additional Government Pleader, states that steps are already taken to cancel the patta issued in the name of 8th respondent, in respect of the streets covered by the settlement deed mentioned in the prayer, no further orders are required in this Writ Petition, except to direct the third respondent to complete the process within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to say, before taking any adverse action against the 8th respondent, sufficient opportunity shall be given to it.
4. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
