Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission to perform the cultural program of 'Innisai Kacheri' on 15.01.2017 at about 10.00 p.m. to 01.00 a.m. at Vadakku Amman Kovil Street, Venkatesapuram, Alangulam Taluk, Tirunelveli District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representations dated 09.01.2017.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to grant permission for performing Innisai Kacheri on 15.01.2017 on the basis of representation dated 09.01.2017, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that on 09.01.2017 a representation has been given to the respondent. But the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, the following order can be passed.

costs and the respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Uthumalai Police Station is directed to look into the representation dated 09.01.2017 and dispose of the same as early as possible.
