This writ petition has been filed seeking for a Mandamus to direct the first respondent to renew the petitioner's passport on his application No.MD2073058469920 dated 16.10.2020 based on the petitioner' representation dated 10.11.2020.
2. Heard Mr.P.Maheswaran, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr.C.Susi Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Ragaventhre, learned Central Government Standing Counsel for the respondents 1 & 2 and Ms.M.Rajeswari, learned Government Advocate appearing for the third respondent.

Ms.M.Rajeswari, learned Government Advocate appearing for the third respondent, on instructions would submit that, the petitioner has been charge sheeted for the offence committed under sections 147, 294(b), 323, 427 & 506(2) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and the learned Magistrate, Valliyoor has also taken cognizance and the case has been numbered as 170 of 2019.
4. The submission of the learned Government Advocate is recorded by this Court. In view of the same, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the Magistrate Court for the relief he has sought for in this writ petition.
