ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.699 of 2024. 2.When this petition was taken up for hearing on 17.06.2025, a representation was made on behalf of the respondent police that they require certain documents from the Sub Registrar Office, K.Sathanur, K.K.Nagar, Trichy City and some other documents from the Taluk Office. They have made a request to the officials concerned on 27.03.2025 and awaiting those documents and therefore, the investigation could not be completed.

3.Considering this submission made on behalf of the respondent police, this Court by order dated 17.06.2025 suo motu impleaded the Sub Registrar, K.Sathanur, K.K.Nagar, Trichy and the Tahsildar, Tiruchirappalli (West) as parties to this petition and Mr.F.Deepak, learned Special Government Pleader was directed to take notice for the newly impleaded respondents.

4.Today the learned Special Government Pleader has produced the report of the respondent No.2 and submits that they received the request from the respondent police on 27.03.2025 and they furnished the documents as sought for, on 07.04.2025 vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 315/2025. He has also produced the report of the respondent No.3 and submits that request has been received on 23.06.2025 and they have furnished the documents on 26.06.2025.

5.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor confirms that they have received the documents and they require four more weeks to complete the investigation.

6.Recording the undertaking given on behalf of the respondent police, this petition is closed with a direction to the respondent to conclude the investigation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
